Some additional info, I do not have Greyhole UI installed, and haven't really done much outside of the installation flows suggested by the wiki, other than install plex

Update: I've manually added the two commands to the "shares" table in mysql, and then triggered the smb.conf to be rewritten by toggling one of the share's visibility off and on. This created a proper smb.conf for that.

Is there any side effects to doing it this way?
