Re: lag issues caused when on Xbox

Yes, the DNS is pulling and pointing to the IP of the HDA server.

John

I don't have an Xbox -- but have you renewed it's IP configuration so it points to the HDA?
Is there a way to tcheck it is getting DNS from the HDA?

lag issues caused when on Xbox

All, I am not sure where to even begin to track this issue. But whenever I turn on the DNS and point ALL my network including my router at the HDA server, for DNS, our xbox on the same network slows to a crawl and ALL pings time out, we lose connectivity, and it dies out. What gives? I like this ser...

Re: subsonic issue, after install

I wish that was what I saw on this end, but my Home= on BOTH versions is set to:
/var/subsonic
(which, does not exist.)

SO where is my issue then?

Re: subsonic issue, after install

well, honestly, it was a "neat" package that would be nice to have, but, I already got itunes working over vpn so I am good there.

But, I will keep an eye on this where I can.

Re: subsonic issue, after install

well, spent all day off and on working on this, I still cannot login. admin/admin does not work, and I looked for a MySQL Database but it never creates one for subsonic.

I have both 3.6 and 3.7 installed, but no luck.

Re: MySQL Help

Re: MySQL Help

That's not exactly too secure. Where can I change the root password in HDA config so it works with another password? Using the "default" out of the box seems like a HUGE security risk to me, even on a "closed" home server. John yes, this method of installation is not recommended, it breaks too often...

Re: couple apps I'd like to see

I was actually able to get pyTivo work with my Fedora 10 setup. It streams to Tivo for music, photos, and videos. I have to verify it works with my videos as I was still transferring files to the server so I am not sure this works yet. But tested with music and photos and works great. Prerequisite i...

couple apps I'd like to see

Couple items I'd like to see: --I know Tivo usually likes "Desktop" from Windows, but could it be possible to do a tivo app from Amahi? --Hulu or Boxee or both, to be able to STREAM to a tivo. :) Reason i say tivo here is because I don't really have another input available for video, but 10MB over a...
