Remove Hard Drive from Amahi Server
I am trying to remove a hard drive from my Amahi server, but I am struggling. I am short of storage space on another machine and have excess capacity in my Amahi server, so I want to borrow a drive until I have time to get another one. It was part of the Greyhole pool, but it didn't yet have anythin...

Re: SOLVED: WARN initialize: Deprecated option found in greyhole.conf
I'm sorry, but even that level of detail doesn't tell me what to do. I run Amahi on a VMWare virtual server, so through VMWare console I can access the command line interface on the Amahi server. All my PCs are Windows PCs so I can also access the server dashboard through a browser. I am familiar wi...

Re: SOLVED: WARN initialize: Deprecated option found in greyhole.conf
Hi, I am having the same error appearing, but I don't know how to edit the greyhole.conf file. I am very inexperienced when it comes to Linux.
Can anyone give me some step-by-step instructions of what to do?
Thank you in advance

Change DNS or filter OpenDNS
I am connected to the internet through BT Infinity. It comes with an optional Internet Filter which I want to activate, but when I tried it, an error came up saying that it only works if you use the BT DNS server, and for safety it automatically blocks any attempt to use any other DNS server whateve...

Re: Remote VPN Connection using Old IP Address
One snag with reporting a bug - I can't get logged in. I have filed bug reports before, so I know I have been logged in there before, and my login to the main Amahi.org site works fine (which it says it shares a common login with) but when I try to login to the bug tracking and reporting site it tel...

Re: Remote VPN Connection using Old IP Address
Yes, I have the latest certificates installed, and I have been using it with no issues for most of this week. It's just today that it refused to connect and when I checked the IP address, I noticed it was the previous one it was trying to use to connect. Does it update itself from the amahi.org site...

CLOSED: Remote VPN Connection using Old IP Address
I have the HDA Connect app installed on my laptop and I am trying to connect back to my HDA from a remote location. The HDA Connect app is failing to connect, but when I look at the IP address it is trying to connect to in the log, it is the previous IP address shown on the "Your Server Alerts&...

CLOSED: Updates
This is probably an obvious question, but I can't seem to find anything in the wiki or forums to answer it. I am running Amahi 9 on Fedora 23. My previous experience is all Windows and DOS based. Do Amahi and Fedora keep themselves automatically updated with any patches, etc. (like Windows Update) o...

Re: File Structure & VPN Access
What is the syntax for a shortcut to the top level?
I can get \\192.168.1.90\music to work as a shortcut, and weirdly I can then go up a folder level from there and the address bar shows the location as \\192.168.1.90 but trying to set up a shortcut to there doesn't work.

File Structure & VPN Access
I am using OpenVPN to access my HDA remotely from my work laptop. Because of the number of drives mapped by my work IT dept. there is only one available drive letter left. Ideally I would like to be able to map that drive letter to what appears as the top level of the file structure on the HDA when ...
