Re: Can't access/see files on one share after reinstall

Okay, thanks for your feedback. I'll consider your suggestion of paid support if I can't work through the issues. I was doing my best to follow the instructions on the Amahi wiki but clearly I didn't understand all the details and it's easy for a noob to make mistakes. You can close this case.

Re: Can't access/see files on one share after reinstall

Did you resolve that symbolic link? No, I'm not sure how to do so safely. I don't want to create more problems. Any suggestions? Recommend you move the files to a safe location then remove the affected share and drive. How do you suggest I move the files? When I tried this before by moving files to...

Re: Can't access/see files on one share after reinstall

Thanks for the feedback and advice. Much appreciated. I'll try and keep it simple as I have never used linux before. That link may be your issue. Not sure, but might be work creating a new share and moving the files to it. Then remove the old one. I tried to do that when the LZ hit 100% but move did...

Re: Can't access/see files on one share after reinstall

Why is there a symbolic link for the share path? I'm a noob with more enthusiasm than know how. When my root hit 100% I tried to move the LZ as per these suggestion: https://github.com/gboudreau/Greyhole/wiki/MovingLandingZone That didn't seem to wok so I kept trying to fix the root full problem. A...

Re: Can't access/see files on one share after reinstall

Dashboard is: /var/hda/files/drives/drive6/back-up

When I change that in dashboard to /var/hda/files/drives/drive7/back-up, I get this error: du: cannot access '/var/hda/files/drives/drive7/back-up'

Re: Can't access/see files on one share after reinstall

ls: cannot access /var/hda/files/back-up: No such file or directory I've run fschk, rebooted, tried to change permissions as per other forum suggestions. CLOSED: Can't access/see files on one share after reinstall

I'm unable to see/access files on one particular share "back-up" after reinstalling Fedora/Amahi. All other shares in the pool work as you'd expect. I am a noob and while I've been able to complete some of the suggested Greyhole trouble shooting tasks, I don't know how to complete tasks 4 ...

Re: tools to troubleshoot HDA crashing overnight

Yes any disruption in power can cause issues. Hopefully you have the server plugged into a surge suppressor.

Since it sounds like the issue is resolved, can we close this one?
Yep, it's on a surge protector and an UPS is next on the shopping list.

Okay to close. Thank you.

Re: tools to troubleshoot HDA crashing overnight

I don't see anything in the info you provided that would indicate an issue.

Could this be a hardware problem?
Could be but I wouldn't know how to go about troubleshooting that. The system has been stable since this issue.

Could a power outage or spike cause this?
