Re: Super Slow Transfer Speeds Between Shares
I am using Greyhole, but I tested on non-greyhole shares as well as greyhole shares. It seems like when transferring using windows (or Fedora GUI) the transfer runs through the local machine. I verified this by using my laptop on wifi w/ i5 3500M processor and desktop wired w/ i7 4790k @ 4.6Ghz. I w...

Super Slow Transfer Speeds Between Shares
I'm getting very slow transfer speeds between shares. I have 4 HDDs connected. 2 250GB in RAID0, a 500GB WD Blue and 2TB WD Green. I'll transfer a file from my Windows PC to the HDA and it'll clock in at ~100MB/s. Then I'll try to transfer between shares and it'll transfer anywhere between 15-50 MB/...

Re: configuring a VPN for use with transmission
I use privateinternetaccess.com for my personal VPN needs. You can search their site on how to install their client on your server and use the VPN. You do need a GUI to set it up initially. You might be able to do it thru the CLI, but I'm not that good and usually Me+CLI=Fedora/Amahi reinstall time.

Re: SOLVED: Mounting Shares Locally... Next Steps
I just looked at my disk stats and it looks like it adds mounts for the new shares as drives in this format. //127.0.0.1/Videos
So now there's like 14 shares/drives in that tab. Is that what's supposed to happen?

Re: Mounting Shares Locally... Next Steps
Ok cool. Thanks for the info.
All files will be accessed through Windows using mapped drives and (hopefully) plex both inside the network and remotely from my work. I'll hit up the plex wiki to get it all configured correctly!

SOLVED: Mounting Shares Locally... Next Steps
I got greyhole and plex installed and plex recommended to mount shares managed by greyhole locally. I went through that walkthrough and got them mounted locally, but I had a question once that's done. Do I need to change all the paths on the Shares tab to point to the new /mnt/samba/ folders where t...

Re: Moving drives from old desktop to HDA
Yes that appears to be the problem. Also note the mount point for both drives is the same.
Try that and report back if that resolved your issue.
Worked like a champ! The drive is visible in the Amahi drives tab. Thanks for the help!

Re: Moving drives from old desktop to HDA
Please try as root user: mount -a There should be no output. If there is, please post it here. [root@hda ~]# mount -a mount: can't find UUID=E400C53000C50A8E mount: mount point /var/hda/files/drives/grn does not exist Hard to say. Is there a reason you need to disable this feature? It should not ha...

SOLVED: Moving drives from old desktop to HDA
I'm not in the process of taking the drives out of my desktop and putting them in the HDA. I tried this first with a 2TB WD Green drive. It was formatted NTFS, but I formatted it to EXT4 and it showed up in the disk wizard info. Then, all of a sudden it disappeared from the HDA. I can't get to it th...
