Re: [Help] Greyhole Landing Zone filled? "Not enough space" error; now server hangs at boot...

Took a long look in the /.gh trash -- still no luck. All my data is safely backed-up on other drives. So no worries. After reviewing my goals here, I've deceived to go a different direction & explore a more self-managed solution (Ubuntu/MHDDFS/rsync/etc). Thanks for the help with everything (and...

Re: [Help] Greyhole Landing Zone filled? "Not enough space" error; now server hangs at boot...

Ok, an update... with the help of cpg, I ssh'ed into my server successfully and determined that, yes, my Greyhole LZ was full on root. I removed several files from the LZ, and was able to restart fsck. It's running (as is mysql), and I can access the server from remote clients again. Remaining issue...

CLOSED: [Help] Greyhole Landing Zone filled? "Not enough space" error; now server hangs at boot...

Greetings, First of all, happy new year everyone. I've been spending the week setting up my first Amahi/Greyhole server (hardware detail at bottom). Hopefully, this is the last hurdle... After successfully cloning my boot/root drive (I moved from a "not-recommended" USB boot stick approach...

Re: Copies *to* the server are very slow? (5-10-mb/sec?)

Ok, brand new drive is installed as the boot/root disk (it's a Sandisk 120GB SSD Plus ). I cloned the USB boot stick onto this drive, and it's working. Now the boot stick is removed from the system. Next, I test copied some files onto the server. Speeds are improved: Larger files (video files 1GB+):...

Re: Moving existing Amahi OS (from previous drive to new SSD?)

Done... thank you! For anyone else trying to identically clone their Amahi system drive to a new drive(and assuming you have a vanilla Amahi 8/Fedora install you're cloning), make sure you DO NOT have Clonezilla install Grub for you. I made that mistake, and the clone was altered with Grub as the bo...

Re: Copies *to* the server are very slow? (5-10-mb/sec?)

Thanks Bigfoot. Interesting stuff. So I'm guessing there must be some bottleneck slowdown through the USB drive, happening during file copies to my larger, non-USB drives. Perhaps some data gets cached there during the copy... anyway, I appreciate the help. Will move onto the SSD approach and see ho...
