Re: Greyhole rebuild or something to that effect...
Well, I might have duplicates on each drive, but that was not the intention for all shares. I have pictures, documents etc that are supposed to be duplicated using gh, and then the moves, tv and music should not be duplicated. As I understood it, gh would move things across both drives to make use o...

Re: Greyhole rebuild or something to that effect...
Thanks for the reply. I had read the documentation but admittedly I found it a bit of a minefield.
Given that I have TB's worth of data stored on the drives, is there a way to extract it without losing it before starting over?

Greyhole rebuild or something to that effect...
OK, things were working great I had everything setup fine and then I decided to update my server hardware. Stupidly (really, really stupidly) I gutted the drives from my old server (without making note of anything) and threw them into my new server and installed Fedora 21 and Amahi 8 on a new drive....

Re: Advice on moving files to Greyhole, local mounts etc
Just returning to this with one further question bigfoot65. If I create a share on a drive which is part of my greyhole pool, but [the share] is not included in the storage pool, would it be safe to download (e.g.) torrents to it without breaking greyhole? My intention would then be to move files in...

Re: HDA cannot access the internet
There is a firewall on the router, yes. I was unaware that this might cause a conflict? I've tried running my router with both DHCP/DNS off and on and still have the same issue. It DOES appear to affect my wired network too. I cannot launch any app from the dashboard. I am always greeted with a DNS ...

Re: HDA cannot access the internet
No, this issue was present before I modified the DNS IPs. I just tried both OpenDNS and Google DNS and both result in the same error when executing the following: [root@localhost ~]# ping -c 1 8.8.8.8 PING 8.8.8.8 (8.8.8.8) 56(84) bytes of data. From 192.168.1.10 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreacha...

Re: HDA cannot access the internet
Sorry - I just added what the troubleshooting guide suggested.
Running Fedora 21 and Amahi 8.
fpaste result.
The only network modification I have made is to set the custom DNS IPs to 185.37.37.37 and 185.37.39.39 per the Unlocator service I use.
httpd/error_log is attached if required.

HDA cannot access the internet
I have had some issues with my HDA short URLs not being recognized on mobile devices within my home network, but this has not really stopped me setting-up and using Amahi 8 on an old PC. I can access the control panel using HDA/ from a browser on my laptop connected directly to my home network, but ...

Re: Advice on moving files to Greyhole, local mounts etc
Yes, that makes perfect sense. Thank you. One last question. How does Greyhole handle files being deleted from Windows? If I was to delete a file or even a whole folder of files [within a share] from Windows, would that be OK? I note in the warning box on the Wiki that deleting files directly on the...
