Re: Can't see my data anywhere

I hate to be dull here. But I am not sure how much of that line. Is it just the /var/hda/files part? That looks like a path to my novice eyes. Or does it start with the UUID etc. When I get this right, what will this allow, the ability to see things in the Amahi mobile app? What about from my PC? An...

Crashplan on HDA Set Up

I am trying to set up a PC and a Mac to an Amahi HDA running Fedora 19 on laptop (with a 60GB drive) with an external USB 3TB Drive. On the HDA version of Crashplan you can set the location of the incoming backups. It lists the path for the backup destinations as /usr/local/crashplan/backupArchives ...

As I am new to Linux, can you help coach me on the the way to list the path to the drives?

Can't see my data anywhere

I have installed Amahi, but can't see my data anywhere. I must be missing something. What I've done and what I can see I have Amahi running on an old laptop with a 3TB USB Drive connected to it. I used the Wiki directions for mounting that drive. I can see the 2 drives (laptop and the USB) listed on...

Re: Installation, partitioning, disk space

Thanks Bigfoot65

In my case the 3TB drive is just for data, but I am assuming the greater than 2TB issue is not just for the boot drive but also for data drives. Right?

Re: Installation, partitioning, disk space

I am dealing with a similar issue. I have a 3TB drive that I have mounted to the HDA (Following these directions: https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Adding_a_second_hard_drive_to_your_HDA). But I am now realizing the issue with over 2TB drives. In reading this wiki entry it talks about breaking up the...

Re: Newbie Questions: Amahi Express CD or DVD? and IP Addresses for Gateway and HDA

The issue was I was not at root. I thought being an administrator was enough.

For those new to Linux type "Su -" to get to root. It will ask you for a password and then you have the ability to issue commands from root. You can also issue commands with a "sudo" prefix.

Re: Running Laptop while lid is closed

Here is the Resolution: For GNOME, this is now handled by systemd in Fedora 18+. As root, edit /etc/systemd/logind.conf. As root, from the terminal in Fedora 19, I used namo etc/systemd/logind.conf You're looking for the definition for HandleLidSwitch, it may be commented out. For newbies new to Lin...

Running Laptop while lid is closed

I am using a Lenovo T60 Laptop as my HDA, and had envisioned running the system with the lid closed. When the laptop was running Windows, I was able to set the unit up so the laptop lid could be close, but it was still running. Now that I have Fedora 19, when I close the lid it goes into hibernation...
