A recent problem with Plex
I have not dug in to this much. Just today I noticed that I cannot access my Plex server from a windows PC. When I go to my "HDA" and choose Plex Media server it loads the web interface , but in the corner under the name of my plex server it says "We're sorry, but we can't reach this ...

Re: Help accessing web apps from the Internet
Yes. Could you provide any insight on the first problems? Is there a manual route or DNS item I have to create so I can reach an app in house with the same external address? For example right now wordpress.localdomain.com works at home, but not wordpress.externaldomain.com even if I have it setup ri...

Help accessing web apps from the Internet
I am hoping to access several of my web apps from the general Internet. My major interests are for owncloud7 and wordpress. I have read this excellent wiki: https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Hosting_a_website First, I have no problems accessing my HDA from the Internet. I use it regularly to run Mine...

Re: Opening up ports, like port 3389
I think some ports are closed by default. Perhaps that is Fedora not really Amahi? Anyway an nmap scan of my HDA shows this; Not shown: 988 closed ports PORT STATE SERVICE 22/tcp open ssh 53/tcp open domain 80/tcp open http 111/tcp open rpcbind 139/tcp open netbios-ssn 445/tcp open microsoft-ds 1984...

Opening up ports, like port 3389
I run a few virtual boxes on my HDA since it has the horsepower. Sometimes I would like to access these remotely. For that to work, I need to open up a port. The default is 3389 but it is easy to change that setup in virtualbox. How would I go about opening up a port on an HDA? I'm running version 7...

Re: Automated virus scanning of shared files.
Thanks. This looks great. If I need to do anything else to the configuration I'll add to the wiki or post here. Thanks again.

Re: Automated virus scanning of shared files.
This post is rather old, but it looks related to what I would like to script or automate on my HDA. I recently was hit by a windows virus. Although I have a few machines running Linux my family uses windows as clients. It took a fair amount of time routing the virus out of five machines and it was c...

Re: Webmin
Ok. Thanks. I've always installed it on my HDA on my own. I thought this time I'd try to use the "app". Hoping some of the configuration work would be done. I'll dig around on my own. Thanks.

Webmin
Webmin is a great addition to Amahi. I've used it for year on simple LAMP server. I decided to purchase this app and set it up that way instead of just downloading it directly. Everything seemed to run fine. One early problem I noticed is that the Apache module is not correctly detecting that Apache...

Host my own Webservice on my own HDA
I would like to host a very simple webapp on my own HDA server. It is an open source Classroom booking system from http://classroombookings.com/ . I have no problem installing this on a simple LAMP server, but I wanted to host it on my HDA and have an icon show up in my dashboard. I checked out the ...
