Re: Can't access files and can't troubleshoot
Tried this, no luck.. again. :(:(:( I couldn't get on the internet with any device. When I try to pull up my router's IP on a hardwired pc, it said no connection... Ugh... So I bought/ordered a new router. I was already getting a little annoyed with the capabilities of my current one and just added ...

Re: Can't access files and can't troubleshoot
OK, so finally got more time to play around. Results are not good. I started by disabling the DHCP on the router. I then turned off every device in the house including router and HDA. Turned router on. Let it fully boot. Turned on HDA. Then turned on laptop. After a few moments, laptop had internet....

Re: Can't access files and can't troubleshoot
So I'm home and have turned off the "Enable DHCP Server" option on my router. Nothing changed on the server so I rebooted it (using the HDA// web based button). Since rebooting it, now my HDA// won't pull up at all. It just continually says it's not available...? The Amahi control panel st...

Re: Can't access files and can't troubleshoot
lol! You're absolutely right. "It's strongly recommended that you turn off the previous DHCP server and let Amahi handle DHCP so that DNS falls into place" Since I didn't know how important that was I'm sure I just overlooked it. I'll disable the DHCP on the router tomorrow and give the se...

Re: Can't access files and can't troubleshoot
Bigfoot, This is really going to show my ignorance here. I haven't messed with my router at all during the entire server process. I would say it does have internet access since it was able to locate a few mirror sites when trying to download the utility tool and I'm also able to turn off/reboot the ...

Can't access files and can't troubleshoot
Bigfoot, Ok, so I've been messing around with this for a couple weeks since you assisted me with the full dvd install using fedora 19. I think my problems began when I turned off the machine manually by holding the power button as at the time, i didn't know there was a "power off" and &quo...

Re: Install Fails Just Before Install Code
So it worked! But I'm now lost. Everything showed complete, I rebooted, and everything was showing properly on my web based control panel. I also got the email confirming everything appeared to go well. But now I'm confused because I'm not getting an amahi login on my server system. So I rebooted it...

Re: Install Fails Just Before Install Code
Ok, I've found an iso for the dvd. You'll have to forgive my ignorance as it was a struggle for me to find an actual iso file when looking through all those parent directories. I located one though and I'm putting it onto a dvd now. I'll report back with how it goes. Thanks again for the guidance. :)

Re: Install Fails Just Before Install Code
Whoa. I never saw any of this. When I boot from the dvd, the first screen looks a lot like the amahi install screen (seen screen1)... When I hit the tab key, what shows is my "screen2" image.
