At present whenever I restart the server, I have to enter the following command in order to get network running again.

systemctl restart network

Is there a command to have the system do this automatically during startup?

Apologies however it related directly to the issue i had previously which was solved by entering the following command:

systemctl restart network

Everytime I restart the server (power outage & what have you) I have to input this command, is there a way to have the network restart auto during boot?

Ok its all working again, amahi updated, plex working fine and downloading its cover data which was my major issue and although i still see its version 0.9.9.14.531-7eef8c6 through my hda dashboard, it doesnt bother me as long as its working. Apologies, i believe i misunderstood you earlier when you asked about ping. I did it from the computer i was on rather than on the server itself through the ssn. So far so good, update is running, all 412 parts! will report back either way once complete
