Re: Updated from F19 to F21, and must have broken the DNS
When the gnome desktop was installed, the network configuration application even saw the correct DNS servers in the menu, but the DNS would not work. There's your issue. Th Gnome desktop does not play well with Amahi. That's why we have recommended not using it in Amahi 8. Is there a list of packag...

Re: Updated from F19 to F21, and must have broken the DNS
Yes, I have tried each and every possible combination of DNS settings in the dashboard. I have even tried to select "custom" and input the DNS servers by hand, and then click apply, and nothing changes. When the gnome desktop was installed, the network configuration application even saw th...

Re: Updated from F19 to F21, and must have broken the DNS
one of the items in the list is "hda-suite.noarch", and in the column that typically says "installed" it has @amahi/19. That is what installs the Amahi repo. It does not need updated as the repo automatically adjusts to the OS version. Your issue is likely due to the upgrade. Mi...

Re: Updated from F19 to F21, and must have broken the DNS
Yes, and nothing seems to really fix the issue. As a matter of fact, when I go to the "Virtualization Stack Breaks DNS/DHCP Server" part, it says that the dnsmaq.service should return "failed" upon checking it's status, but it says it is running. Doesn't work, but it says it is r...

Updated from F19 to F21, and must have broken the DNS
Hi, About a month ago now I guess, I "accidentally" (I consciously did it, unaware of the consequences) I ran the update of the kernel via ssh, and "broke" the server so that it didn't even reconnect via ssh. When I was able to physically access the computer, I saw that it was bo...

I done goofed and updated the Fedora Kernel
I was getting a notification saying that there was an error with my kernel so I (stupidly) decided to update the kernel. Upon reboot, I can't access it remotely anymore (RDP and SSH not working) and no separate services are available via web interface (transmission, plex, etc.) leading me to believe...

OpenVPN server and client on same machine
I have been using the openvpn plugin setup from amahi without issue for a while now. I would like to expand my horizons and also add a layer of browsing/downloading privacy by having a client VPN connection from my Amahi machine, to a torgaurd server. I am running on Fedora 19, and I tried installin...

Re: Having issues reinstalling plex via the manual route
I ended up getting it to re-install by both disabling amahi-plex from the updates and completely removing the /var/lib/plexmediaserver folder. That removed all the settings, but I was able to reinstall without any issues, and then I was able to copy the preferences file, and plug-ins folder from the...

CLOSED: Having issues reinstalling plex via the manual route
I recently had plex 9.11 installed via plex for ahami, but due to the time between updates for the specialized stack for amahi and the fact that I don't even use amahi for any plex features, I decided I wanted to go the self install manual route shown in the Wiki. I uninstalled amahi-plex using thro...
