Hello.
I'm considering putting an Amahi server in a network that currently uses the IP addressing of: 10.255.0.x
Will I be able to have the Amahi in this network? I seem to remember an issue with that years ago but I can't verify that now.
Thanks in advance...

Re: Is there a backup method for Amahi Server itself
Has there been any movement on an automated backup for the server itself? I'm not trying to be critical but there is clearly a key missing part here. While there are those that can work the command line and do an ad-hoc backup it would be very useful for there to be a backup routine in place that co...

Can I rename "nickname" of my HDA?
Hi, all. Running v8 of Amahi. I had two servers but have deleted one. I'd like to rename the nickname of the second server to what the first one was named. Is that possible? Example: server1 had a nickname of myserver (not really but just go with it). server2 had a nickname of myserver-2. I've delet...

Re: Is there a backup method for Amahi Server itself
I know this is an old thread. But I'm considering installing this for a customer's use. Anything available like Crashplan or Carbonite to backup the Amahi system to the "cloud"? I know both of those are not available.

Re: Fresh v11 Install. Stuck on Setup
I'm sorry, I did the download of the .iso Express CD. I only used a DVD as the burn medium, out of habit.
Also, do you mean that I can't have my only network adapter as the wireless card? I thought I could only have one adapter, either wired or wireless.

I'm doing a fresh install on a Toshiba laptop with a 500GB HDD and 8GB of RAM. I've burned the ISO to a DVD and installed from that. Everything went fine (although selecting Time Zone was an issue) and then it rebooted. Now it's stuck on "Amahi Server is being Setup" on a terminal screen. ...

CLOSED: Plex on Amahi 9. Service won't start.
I just upgraded to Amahi 9. While on Amahi 8 I couldn't get the Plex Media Server service to run. I was hoping that the upgrade to 9 would help. I wasn't betting the farm on it. But I like to tinker so upgrading was something I wanted to do anyway. I've uninstalled the PlexMS app on the Amahi 8 mach...

Re: No DNS even on server itself
I was looking over the threads because of a problem I was having since installing Amahi 8. I couldn't get DHCP and DNS to work and had to statically assign both to a computer on my network to get it to work. Anyway, I came across this thread. I, too, had installed VNC since I had it on v7. I didn't ...

Wanted to *bump* this as I've just re-installed an HDA (v8) and would like to revisit this problem.
