That makes sense. Since the proxy pass is failing anyway, it's just picking up the index.html file from the working directory. It is not enough to just restart the service and nothing else. It is enough to add the file, and restart the service. At least with my install (Amahi 7.1 express on Fedora ...

bigfoot65, yes, I know there is a workaround, and my comment was to that wiki article.
As I mentioned, to workaround the problem, one does not have to change the ####-plexms.conf file.
It is enough to restart the httpd service.

I don't think that this conf file is a problem. It's enough to restart httpd service and everything is working without changes. The problem is I have to restart this service every time I restart (reboot) my amahi machine. Seems like this virtualhost with redirection: ProxyPass / http://hda:32400/man...
