Re: working with applications

Did you follow the transition toAmahi wiki guidance?

Have to used the HDA for DHCP And DNS server or apps will not work. This will involve you having to restart clients to get the correct DHCP lease.

Re: Fedora 27

Can I upgrade an Amahi 11 system to a later version of Fedora? No. Only works with Fedora 27. Is there a schedule for Amahi 12? It’s currently under development but no timeline for release. If Amahi 12 is coming, what version of Fedora will it use? Likely will be Fedora 31. Unfortunately our team i...

Re: Unable to access specific sites

Really odd that some sites don't work with the HDA.

Not sure what to suggest next. This is one of those odd issues that we don't see often.

What browser have you tested?

When using HDA as DHCP, what are you using for DNS?

Re: Unable to access specific sites

When using the HDA for DHCP, you have to renew the DHCP lease on all clients. Did you do that step? The reason switching back to your router works is the client probably still was using the router DHCP lease. Same for all other devices. Re: No Root pass word set

Try:

Code: Select all

sudo su -
BTW you can execute root commands without changing to root user. Just preceded commands with sudo.

Marking as resolved.

Re: Webmin installation failure

Change Generic release 27 (Generic) to Fedora release 27 (Twenty Seven).

You may need to reboot afterwards.

Re: Webmin installation failure

I presume you used the Express DVD.

If so then that’s the reason.

The app does not install correctly due to an issue with it.

There’s a file that you need to change to make it work correctly.

See bug 2389 for details.
