Re: Restoring files from Greyhole Attic
I'm definitely missing something. I think my local mount must be on my system drive, not one of the data drives. I keep running out of disk space even though I'm trying to move files and there is plenty of space on my data drives. Per the wiki, I am trying to move files to /mnt/samba/Videos - but I ...

Re: Restoring files from Greyhole Attic
Thanks for pointing out the mount script. Glad I didn't just copy.
After running the mount script, I would use the local mount share for the destination, correct? So:

Restoring files from Greyhole Attic
In a masterstroke of pure genius, I managed to delete all of my video files from my server (I think I somehow copied an empty directory and overwrote my server location using some Robocopy flags). At any rate, I just discovered that my files seem to still exist in the attic. I definitely do not trus...

Found it. From the Greyhole Mounts best practices page.
I used these options in place of defaults:
Hoping the next fail on a data drive does not bomb my server.

Re: SOLVED: More bad luck-F19 booting into emergency mode
I ended up reinstalling. It was running fine for a while before booting to emergency mode. I think I had an issue with both the system drive and a data drive. The data drive has been replaced. I set the new fstab options as recommended in the greyhole site docs with an option to allow boot on drive ...

Re: DLNA App broken - Amahi 7
I had this same behavior where DLNA would not start after install. I followed the instructions in the bug linked in this thread to prevent PlexMediaServer from installing. After reinstall, DLNA is working for me as well. Thanks!

SOLVED: Greyhole status - drives offline.
I wish I had enabled the greyhole error log about a day and a half ago. Greyhole needed to know that I changed the drive. This command fixed the offline error: greyhole --replace=/var/hda/files/drives/drive2/gh For the record: [root@whaites-server tom]# greyhole -s Greyhole Statistics ==============...

Re: Greyhole status - drives offline
I've been formatting ext4. I think I'm gonna have to call it with this drive. Maybe I can swap it for one in my pc so it won't be a total loss. If anyone else comes across this thread - please ping here if you get a Western Digital 2GB RED drive to work with greyhole. I'm thinking this drive uses th...

Re: Greyhole status - drives offline
So I tried using GDisk to partition, but Greyhole is still offline. WARNING: fdisk GPT support is currently new, and therefore in an experimental ph ase. Use at your own discretion. Re: Greyhole status - drives offline
First I used cfdisk following the wiki: https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Adding_a_second_hard_drive_to_your_HDA That was giving me the Partition 1 does not start on physical sector boundary message. Then, I followed the 4GB+ instructions from the bottom of here: https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Part...
