Re: DNS not resolving properly

I am marking this topic as closed.

My router was the source of the problem. It would appear that I am not the first person to experience this issue with a Netgear router. The resolution was to change the MAC Address of the router.

CLOSED: DNS not resolving properly

I'm having an issue with DNS resolution of external addresses on my network. For this example I'm using the local movie theatre's web site, as this one is consistently providing me with issues. When I do an nslookup on my HDA I get the correct DNS info, but when I do an nslookup on a PC that uses th...

Re: Greyhole not showing queue

Your second suggestion was exactly what fixed it.

Code: Select all

mv /var/spool/greyhole /var/spool/greyhole.bak mkdir -p /var/spool/greyhole chmod 777 /var/spool/greyhole /usr/bin/greyhole --create-mem-spool systemctl restart amahi-greyhole.service greyhole -f
Thanks!

Re: Greyhole not showing queue

My permissions are fine, an I've gone through all the troubleshooting I can find.

I suspect that the issue is with the spool size. What sort of issues would I see if I were to delete the contents of the spool folder? (/var/spool/greyhole)

Re: Greyhole not showing queue

I've never tried using the VNC app.

A reinstall of greyhole doesn't seem to have any effect on the issue.

Re: Greyhole not showing queue

The only thing I've installed lately was amahi-netboot. I can't confirm if it was working properly before, as I don't go checking my Greyhole queue all the time.

Re: Greyhole not showing queue

It looks like the greyhole -q did complete last night at some point. I'm a bit concerned by the results, though: [aaron@localhost ~]$ greyhole -q Greyhole Work Queue Statistics ============================== This table gives you the number of pending operations queued for the Greyhole daemon, per sh...

Re: Greyhole not showing queue

So it's been over an hour since I started the fsck and ran greyhole -q Here's the tail of the log: [aaron@localhost ~]$ tail -f /var/log/greyhole.log Mar 13 22:03:19 DEBUG daemon: Checking symlink at /usr/lib64/samba/vfs/greyhole.so... Re: Greyhole not showing queue

I've let it run for a few minutes. I have done a lot of troubleshooting already, including clearing the task table (0 lines affected). I just started an fsck so I'm going to let that run for the night to see if it helps. I'll also run greyhole -q and let it run overnight as well to see if I do event...
