Oh man, just noticed the end of your statement. That's the most critical reason for me to stay on amahi. Guess I should roll back to Amahi 10?disk-wizard App is broken in Amahi 11, so you have to follow the manual guidance.

Re: Reinstalled to Amahi 11 - where are my apps?
Some additional information - I am experiencing exactly the same thing as the person describes in this post: https://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?t=6144 (which appeared to ultimately be a server-side issue?) I have no way to install the "Disk Wizard" app as it is not appearing in my &quo...

Re: Reinstalled to Amahi 11 - where are my apps?
Same amahi logon, but I did generate a new configuration code. The strange part is, I don't even have the ability to buy them. There is no button to install, no button showing the price. It shows in the online store as just an info page for the app. Does that make sense? Whereas apps I have not boug...

Reinstalled to Amahi 11 - where are my apps?
Hello, After a failed upgrade attempt, I just completed a clean install to Amahi 11. I'm not trying to reconnect all my media drives (qty 9) using the Amahi "Disk Wizard" - the problem is, I cannot download/install them? I believe I've purchased all these items previously, but they're just...

Re: Amahi Bug? Custom DNS Settings
When you disable the DNS server, don't change anything else (i.e. custom). If it's disabled, the setting does not matter. I'm confused. If I disable DNS, the Amahi server continues to set resolv.con to itself. Given that DNS is turned off, it effectively renders an Amahi server that is incabable of...

Amahi Bug? Custom DNS Settings
I don't use Amahi as my DHCP server nor my DNS server. However, lately I have noticed that Amahi appears to have a bug. Disabling the DHCP server is no problem, and the network functions as expected. However, disabling the DNS server and then setting the DNS settings to "Custom" always res...

Re: Samba Issues on new/clean install
The server is up to date, I had run dnf update when I first finished the install, but did double check it and confirmed all dependencies were resolved and "nothing to do". MariaDB is also running. A physical reboot of the server has solved the problem again temporarily. I'll continue to in...

Samba Issues on new/clean install
Hi Everyone - I (finally!) reinstalled Amahi to the latest clean platform this past weekend on F23. Everything seemed to be working great at first, but I've run into issues where Samba would slowly stop working. It would almost seem to degrade. Looking at systemctl status it appeared to create more ...

Re: Advice on performance of new install
My hardware is definitely not current (upgraded from an WHS to Amahi 7, to Ubuntu Amahi to A9..) but it worked so swimmingly until the most recent version (I upgraded in 9/2015). It just doesn't seem to deal well with larger files .. I've had to tweak my HTPC quite a bit to buffer a ton of the video...

Re: Advice on performance of new install
Just stumbled on your post, and I'm seeing the EXACT same problems. To the point where I am about to install FreeNAS and abandon the Amahi platform. I ran A7 for quite some time with no problems, then upgraded to Ubuntu when it was "supported". I moved back to Fedora after Ubuntu was aband...
