Re: What am I forgetting
I think I just found my answer. Am I right that the greyhole app is no longer in the
available apps for Ubuntu, and I need to do a manual install?
And can I use the latest deb, greyhole-0.9.40-1.i386.deb in 12.04, or
do I need to use an older ver.

What am I forgetting
Been running Amahi on Ubuntu 12.04. Recently I had a system issue that turned into me not being to get to the HDA. I ended up re-installing 12.04 ver, and have all my disk mounting and showing up in storage. But when I look at shares, there is no disk pooling option. The greyhole server is running. ...

Data Storage
A question on how GH manages data storage. My drive conf so far is the sys drive, 2 pool drives,= drive1 =1gb, drive2 =500gb. What I have seen so far is that data is moved from the LZ to drive1 first. I only have 1 share set to duplicate so I see that it built a copy on drive2 for that share. If dri...

Re: Understanding LZ
I've been through the wiki's, but my understanding is that the LZ is a
temp location for the file, until it's moved into a share folder inside one of
the GH folders of the pool drives?
So I expected to see the LZ folder empty.

Understanding LZ
Well things are progressing nicely with my Amahi switch from WHS2011. Really liking things so far. I have a question on the LZ for shares using greyhole. I using a program to backup my Win7 PC to the HDA. The primary drive with the OS and LZ on it is 250gb, and my Win7 backup file even when compress...

Re: VNC Help
I reinstalled the vnc app, server is running, now it's not accepting my password
through the client app. I should be using the password for the HDA, right?
