Re: TimeMachine/ Ubuntu works, but needs manual start
Hi, I followed instructions, but cannot see where to do it. See screenshot. However, I will not open a case, since I really cannot contribute anything berond my initial post. I am happy to provide whatever information the Amahi team needs... but I have no further infos/insight beyond what I wrote. I...

Re: TimeMachine/ Ubuntu works, but needs manual start
Hi
1. I cannot identify how to submit a new issue... can log into bugtracker and see issues, but dont find a way to submit.
2. My post above includes all info I have (Ubuntu, TimeMachine, manual start need). What else would you want to be provided with?
BR Nico

Re: SImply backing up Greyhole / Samba Files to external HDD
Hi Cron may work, but I have to power on my external drive anyhow, so this is manual. What could work is a cron job that starts when the drive is detected. However, the effort in setting that up would - for me - be higher than the gain. BR Nico [ Post made via iPhone ] http://forums.amahi.org/images...

Re: SImply backing up Greyhole / Samba Files to external HDD
Hi, Sorry for responding late. I managed to get it working with rsync, which I need to start manually, but it seems to work :) The script mounts my eSata drive and copies files to the drive I may still need to tweak the switches for rsync... but this was a solid start for me BR Nico #!/bin/bash moun...

TimeMachine/ Ubuntu works, but needs manual start
Hi! System: Amahi on Ubuntu. I bought Time Machine from the shop. It generally works, but not without manual start support (sudo service netatalk restart). As soon as I do that, share Amahi(TM) comes up in Mac finder in couple of seconds. Would appreciate support in identifying where this may need a...

SImply backing up Greyhole / Samba Files to external HDD
Hi! I searched around, but maybe this is just too simple :o I am looking for an easy, convenient solution that can do an incremental backup all files in my Samba/Greyhole shares to an external harddisk (like the WHS v1 server backup). Ideally, no encryption, no fuzz, so that I could attach it to any...
