Re: Greyhole - Local writing + Best practices + Owncloud

Cool, thanks for passing that on! It actually turns out that he was the one that answered a question I posted regarding this somewhere else in the forum . Unfortunately, it was a three part question and I only got an answer regarding mounting owncloud directories locally but not how to use with Grey...

Re: Greyhole - Local writing + Best practices + Owncloud

Sigh... no email in the Wiki that I can find and I've posted about this in the forum to no avail. I guess I just gotta hope someone else sees this thread or just give up on using owncloud.

Re: Greyhole - Local writing + Best practices + Owncloud

Any idea how to contact that person? Because again it doesn't look like any mention of Greyhole is made in the Amahi owncloud wiki.

Re: Greyhole - Local writing + Best practices + Owncloud

Which Wiki would that be exactly. I had a look through a bunch of the wikis for both Greyhole and owncloud and for the most part neither seem to mention setup for the other. The only mention would be on this one: http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Media_Sharing_Using_ownCloud#Scenario_2:_Media_Sharing_...

Re: Greyhole - Local writing + Best practices + Owncloud

Hopefully someone's still monitoring this subject as I'm trying to add storage to my hda with a second hard drive and I'd like to do this using greyhole and add it to a storage pool. However I'd also like to use owncloud to manage users and file sharing. What exactly do I need to change in the owncl...

Re: Using ownCloud for User/File Management + Increasing Sto

Ok great, thanks. Good tip. I had been reading that you can run into permission problems with ownCloud and Amahi. That should obviously help avoid that. Any info then regarding the other questions? Will Greyhole help add capacity for the ownCloud account?

Using ownCloud for User/File Management + Increasing Storage

As noted in another question I posted recently, I'm pretty new to Linux/Amahi/networking and just been trying to wade my way through all the new information. What I'd like to do is use ownCloud for File and User management as I think it has a very nice and user friendly UI. I'm fine with using the o...

Re: Send HDA Traffic Through a VPN to Outside Network

Yeah, I set that up no problem already. I needed to do that to have Amahi work properly at all so now it handles all the DHCP leases etc. What I'd like to try and do is send the Internet traffic that's going through the server through my VPN first. There are ways to set this up with routers, though ...

Send HDA Traffic Through a VPN to Outside Network

I just got Amahi set up for my home network for the first time and just starting to play around with it to learn how it all works. I currently live in China and already have purchased a VPN service (Astrill) to allow me to use outside networks to connect to sites that are usually blocked (Facebook, ...
