I have look in /etc/samba/smb.conf, it does have "preferred master=yes". I try to change it to no but it wouldn't let me to save it.
By the way, how i find out which version of Samba I have?

This problem have been fixed . It was a stupid mistake during installation. There are 2 Lan ports on my machine. I use eth0 during Amahi install and I plugged in Lan cable in eth1 when I was doing troubleshooting. I assume Amahi box would fail over to eth1 but I was wrong. eth1 will connect to Web ...

The HDA gets the IP address you defined in your control panel at amahi.org (log in to see) You also set the IP of your router in the control panel. You then have to disable DHCP on the router if you expect the 'smart' URLs (like http://hda) to work from outside of your HDA. Filesharing and 'smart' ...

Sounds like you have not renewed the IP configuration on your "client" machines since installing Amahi (assuming you have also turned off DHCP on your home router as instructed in the installation instructions). If you still have problems follow these steps ...http://wiki.amahi.org/index....

I am using Fedora 9 now and very happy with it. I would like to try out Amahi server at this stage to see how well it works. Is there a way to install Amahi without going to re-install F9 from beginning?
