Thanks (again!) Bigfoot.
These were my thoughts too. I think it was definitely the Windows machine that was playing up.
I've wiped windows now in favour of Ubuntu anyway so we will see if these play nice!

Odd Internal address issue, linked to DHCP?
I already have a bug listed in the bug tracker in that DHCP leases arent visible in the dashboard. If I turn the server off, then my network connection goes down, so it is dishing out the leases. Under normal circumstances, Server is always on, and I'll turn my PC on. If i type 'hda' into search bar...

Re: VNC app - runlevel

Of course vnc-server must be enabled to work on runlevel 3 : chkconfig – -level 3 vncserver on So tonight im going to set it to run level 3 and then try this. ...

If I install server version of Ubuntu, and install VNC app it works great, so well done devlopers! I just wanted to check, if i then set runlevel to 3, and the server boots to text based rather than gui, can i still VNC on to the app, or does that need x to start, so i would always have to run a des...

Re: Several Questions around post install and setting up DNS

Re: Several Questions around post install and setting up DNS
Reinstalled again and works well. But keep hitting snags and i think, they are all user driven. Part of the problem is not being used to the setup convention of amahi. I installed my new hard drives. I installed apps. I changed ssh settings. And i applied all updates that showed as needing updating ...

Mini DLNA Transcode and integration with WDTV Live?
Hi all,
Is Mini DLNA capable of transcoding. Anyone use with WDTV live to play files over network.
Is mediatomb a better alternative?
Cheers
