Re: hda crashes when copying big files
I found a way around it, I think. I set up vsftpd in my console and created a chroot_list for the users I created in my HDA (through the Amahi web interface) so that they can stay within their home directory. Of course, when you do that, symbolic links to the public HDA folders (in /var/hda/files) w...

Re: hda crashes when copying big files
Yes I saw the post and I did everything in the post, still not working. Another thing: I was able to upload my large files from a Windows XP VM fine. It's only Windows 7 that's causing the problem. I think it's a kernel issue, from what I've read in other sites, but I have yet found a clear, definit...

Re: hda crashes when copying big files
Okay, I changed the MTU from 1496 to 1024 and it's doing the same thing, what else could be wrong?

hda crashes when copying big files
I am trying to copy my avi files from one of my computers to my HDA via network in Windows 7. When I do that, it crashes my HDA and in order for me to access it again, I have to manually reboot my server. It does fine with small files, but it chokes on big files. My HDA is a Mediasmart EX475 with 2 ...

Re: Application Error
I totally agree with you.
However, I got one question: How can I change the name of my HDA server? I want to change it to something else besides HDA. I know it has to do with Samba, but I'm not too familiar with how Fedora does things. Also, will it affect other programs and apps if I do it?

Re: Application Error
I figured it out from reading this post:
http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3799
I had to change the MTU to 1496 to get it working. My ethernet adapter was SiS 191, but my ISA bridge was 966, not 968, so it will be wise to check first. Here's how you do that:

Application Error
Hi, I am running Amahi on an HP Mediasmart EX475 just today and when I try to login as admin, it takes a long while, then it shows this on the screen: Application Error The application has caused an error. You will be forwarded shortly. After a few seconds I see the Debug section appearing, and it s...
