New install complete - How to RAID drives
Finally got Amahi installed and running. The control panel shows it's running and I can log in to the HDA interface. In the HDA under SETUP > Disks I can see the 5 disks in the box: 1- Boot SSD (installation here) 2- 3T HD 3- 3T HD 4- 3T HD 5- 3T HD Now that everything seems to be running well befor...

Re: Express install complete but server not visible on subne
Install log seems to say no internet access to retrieve the HDA's settings.
It suggests I verify network access (which did checkout during the install step.
It also suggests I try :
dhclient eth0
Which returns a "Cannot find device" error.

Re: Express install complete but server not visible on subne
If you can tell me how to log into the HDA command line pingging out sounds like a fair straegy. Though I do seriously doubt it's online from my earlier tests.
If you can tell me how to check the install log that sounds like a GREAT idea.

Express install complete but server not visible on subnet
The xpress install complete and the computer now reboots just to an empty "Localhost Login" screen. Since it is a headless server this is not unexpected. I did disable the old DHCP server (that is in my router) before restarting the HDA. HDA restarted and I try to reach the dashboard via W...

Re: Failing 7.1 express install - Buffer I/O error device sd
Uh, duh. Right, sorry.
Still no access though and the HDA doesn't seem to be on the network... My "Advanced LAN scanner" sees other devices on the subnet but not the new server.
Will open new Topic for this, thank you!

Re: Failing 7.1 express install - Buffer I/O error device sd
Still under the express installer. In the BIOS I turned on some kind of IDE bus controller that was off, now I no longer get any errors. Yay! But wait! Now upon any reboot I just get an empty "Localhost Login" screen that wants me to log in I suppose... I looked in the wiki under Troublesh...

SOLVED: Failing 7.1 express install-Buffer I/O error device
Following the instructions at http://docs.amahi.org/amahi-7-express.html All is well down to steps 3.8. At step 3.7 the machine is rebooted (after first removing the install media). The Operating System does then from the hard drive to a text console. A Login screen that sits for a few moments then ...

Thanks!
I tried everything both w/ & w/o Initial Caps *except* the default user!
Of course.
Rights issues solved.
Thanks again.

Re: 4. Install Instructions - Doesn't run as admin, fails
OK... It worked that time as advertised! I don't know what went wrong last time... Now though when I try to run "Amahi HDA setup" I am prompted to log in. I tried the default user (I am logged in as) & the log in ID for the control panel at "amahi.org" but neither one is righ...

Re: 4. Install Instructions - Doesn't run as admin, fails
Not sure what install instructions you are using for Ubuntu, but they are not the right ones. Use http://docs.amahi.org I was following Fedora instructions at: http://www.amahi.org/instructions/install_amahi The OS install is complete (step 3) which leaves you at a graphical desktop signed in as th...
