I am interested in DNLA, but not sure what the min specs are. I have a quad core older CPU, so perhaps that's enough.

I'm interested in this too...It seems simple enough, make all traffic from the HDA go through a 3rd party VPN like Hidymyass or StrongVPN.
I'm a complete newbie at linux, so I'm hoping a guru can assist here. Can't seem to use teh dashboard, so I assume I'll need access to the desktop/terminal.

Would love to know also! I have ~6TB of shows/movies/home movies that I share between 5 Boxee Boxes. I am a total Linux newbie!

My 5 Boxee Boxes work great with SMB. I heard NFS is quicker/better/made of magic fairy dust, but cannot find an "easy" way to "convert" my shares yet. As of now, no real reason besides wanting to be like all of the cool kids.... 1.5 firmware just got released to beta testers of ...
