Solved turns out the xp client was getting the dns from google and not automatically from server. thx for the help bigfoot65 all is working now.

Sorry took so long to get back to you. I am using windows xp. I did a ipconfig /flushdns and restarted computer, still not working. Might there be something else I can try. thx for your help
