Re: Amahi Netboot: Beta Testers Needed!

yes, the rpm is in the release folder.(amahi-netboot-0.2-1.noarch.rpm)

It can completely replace the current netboot app.

I just tweaked cpg's .spec file a bit. Full list of changes and to-do is listed on the git-hub page.

just need confirmation from somebody else that it works right now.

Re: Amahi Netboot: Beta Testers Needed!

Took a look at the netboot github page, https://github.com/amahi/netboot/blob/master/amahi-netboot.spec it's using a different directory. /var/lib/tftpboot rather than the previous /usr/share/amahi-netboot/tfpt I forked it and can try packaging it with updated syslinux files, menus, and such if that...

Re: Amahi Netboot: Beta Testers Needed!

Sorry, I should been more complete, I guess tftpa-hpa can run as it's on daemon negating the need for inetd to be used to call it. so I also edited /etc/default/tftp-hpa RUN_DAEMON="yes" TFTP_USERNAME="tftp" TFTP_DIRECTORY="/tftpboot/" TFTP_ADDRESS="0.0.0.0:69"...

Re: Amahi Netboot: Beta Testers Needed!

Bigfoot Was going to submit a bug but there was an open one there already with similar circumstances https://bugs.amahi.org/issues/818 from a couple years ago. Found a workaround for now On Ubuntu 12.04.2 I located the pxelinux.0 entry in /usr/bin/hdactl line 726 upon editing to i/g pxelinux.0, undi...

Re: Amahi Netboot: Beta Testers Needed!

have tested and tweaked about 2 dozen manually added apps/isos so far. I do have a request/demand about changing the default install directory currently: /usr/share/amahi-netboot/tftp/ to just: /tfpt or /tftpboot 3 Reasons 1. If I remember correctly, there is syslinux(pxelinux) limitation regarding ...

Re: Amahi Netboot PXE resurrection

taa, welcome to the world of pxe/net-booting. You may soon feel more inclined to just use usb sticks, but it can be pretty useful. Sorry I haven't been using amahi for some time until recently so some things on the wiki are dated, I just setup up a new Ubuntu install and am in the process of testing...

Re: Amahi Netboot: Beta Testers Needed!

bigfoot, thanks again for the reply and the link, but I was the author of the that wiki entry. haha. Although at the time the syslinux site had been down for some time so documentation was very scarce and booting isos with the memdisk module was worthless. It seems to have come a long way since. I g...
