Re: Files randomly deleted
The S.M.A.R.T. data looks fine, I read up on it and I can see that higher = better, and the error rates are still in 100. It's a platter drive, not an SSD. I found the problem in the messages file though: Nov 11 18:33:12 localhost kernel: [355646.360886] usb 2-5: USB disconnect, address 2 Nov 11 18:...

Files randomly deleted
Hey all, I'm having a weird problem that I'm hoping you guys will be able to shed some light on: My files are randomly vanishing. Not put in the Greyhole Recycle Bin, just poof, gone. Over 100 GB of data has been lost this way since I started using Amahi. I download via uTorrent directly to the serv...

Re: Black Screen when connected to VNC app
I did indeed enter that into the VNC clients. I wonder if this could be related? /root/.vnc/xstartup: line 24: xsetroot: command not found /root/.vnc/xstartup: line 26: twm: command not found /root/.vnc/xstartup: line 25: xterm: command not found Found inside my localhost.localdomain:1.log file (and...

Re: Black Screen when connected to VNC app
ExpressCD, v6.1. T'was a fresh download 4 days ago or so. I've just installed UltraVNC, same issue. I actually lied, I see a small block in the top left corner that has 3 checkboxes; Accept clipboard from viewers Send clipboard to viewers Send primary selection to viewers This happened on TightVNC t...

[SOLVED] Black Screen when connected to VNC app
Hey, I've bought and installed the one-click VNC app (http://www.amahi.org/apps/VNC) but I'm having a problem with it; When I connect via TightVNC, I get nothing but a black screen. The install method I used was headless, if that has any bearings on it. I did a search on the forums here, but couldn'...

Re: Does Amahi / GH automatically balance storage?
I see... Do you know if there's a way to turn that off? I don't mind manually running that check every now and then.
Perhaps I should just set µTorrent to download to my local drive then move it to the server once it's been completed
Thanks

Re: Does Amahi / GH automatically balance storage?
Thank you for that link, unfortunately I did not have more luck finding a specific answer to my question with the search results from that link than my original queries (I believe I used something akin to amahi + storage balancing when I made the Google searches I referenced in my original post). In...

Does Amahi / GH automatically balance storage?
Hey all, I'm not currently using Amahi (in the process of cleaning out my old WHS as we speak), but one of the things that irritated me about WHS that I'm hoping Amahi can help with is how WHS will automatically and periodically balance storage. This causes me a couple of problems; Winamp will stop ...
