Re: AirPort Extreme and Applications - Need some help
For those with Airport Extreme and Amahi, try this: Set the DHCP Beginning to 192.168.0.100 and the DHCP End to 192.168.0.199 Leave the Amahi DHCP ON. Now every time you reboot your PC with the server ON, you will be allowed to access the apps(the Amahi server is assigning the IP, because the route...

My server has failed. What can I do?
Hey guys, My Amahi home server has failed after a few months. What happens is the following. -The computer boots normally -It loads into a splash screen where I have one option to select the OS. It says Fedora 14 (obviously) -It then goes into a black screen with a blinking cursor for a few seconds ...

VPN Connection with AirPort Extreme routers
Hey guys, I'm trying to setup a VPN connection to my HDA so I can have access when traveling. However, I am running into problems. I've tried connecting on the Windows side and Mac side (tried both Tunnelblick and Viscocity) and neither of them worked. I even did this: Your router needs to forward U...

Re: AirPort Extreme and Applications - Need some help
To find your hda's MAC address, open up a terminal an type: ifconfig The first line of output looks something like this: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 04:34:ac:d9:e3:b3 Your MAC address is the '04:34:ac:d9:e3:b3' part. And do I use the IP address in my control panel? Do I use the one before I cli...

AirPort Extreme and Applications - Need some help
Hey guys, I am having trouble using any applications at all on my HDA. Every time I click on the app's URL I go to a page that looks like this: http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q84/bennypost/serverappscreen.png In my previous thread, a member helped me narrow it down that it was the AirPort Extrem...

Re: Help with Using Applications in Amahi - AirPot Express H
I did some searching and figured out how to make the exception with my AirPort Extreme. However, I need my HDA's MAC address. I have the IP address. Just need the MAC address. What is an easy way to find my Mac address for my HDA? EDIT: I just need to know where the correct MAC address and the corre...

Re: Help with Using Applications in Amahi
The ip address of your HDA is what you set it to in your amahi.org profile. You can also open a terminal window on the HDA and do ifconfig. When I enter my IP address from my control panel on either the Mac or PC (again, tried two different browsers on each platform) I just get an error... Grrrr......

Re: Help with Using Applications in Amahi
The http://ipaddressofhda is where you would put the ip address of the hda machine. For example, http://192.168.1.11 As for helping with AirportExpress, the best I can do is the wiki. I do not know anything about them. Suggest you use the search function in these forums to find more guidance. The o...

Re: Help with Using Applications in Amahi
Its the fact that your router is still acting as DHCP and DNS server. Once you can switch that off or get around it, things will start working. Could you possibly point me in the right direction to figuring out how to do this? I don't even know where to start looking.. Create a new thread? I've bee...

Re: Help with Using Applications in Amahi
The two lines I gave you will ensure you are getting DHCP and DNS from the HDA with a Windows client. Since you have a special router/modem, that may be the cause of all your issues. You may also find help in the forums. There are a few folks who use that brand and have posted here solutions for ce...
