What output gives yum back, when you execute the command?
If you are using Putty or something like that. You can copy marked text with ctrl+shift+c

yum groupinstall "X Window System" "GNOME Desktop Environment"
yum groupinstall "X Window System" "GNOME Desktop Environment"
