The CPU is an Intel Atom 230 with only 512Mb of RAM. 2GB on the way though.
I used the Express Install and don't have a desktop environment installed so I can't use System Monitor.

OK I've done that. It installed two updates one for dosfstools and one for logrotate.
Total size was 132KB I think.

Re: very slow smb shares
Thanks for the reply.
I get this output:
[admin@freenas ~]$ sudo yum install ethtool
[sudo] password for admin:
admin is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
[admin@freenas ~]$
How to I login as root or add admin to the sudoers list?

Can't access HDA via VPN with http://hda can with LAN IP
So I've set up my Amahi and got the VPN connection up and running. If I use Windows 7 with HDA Connect 3 everything works perfectly! However, if I use my iPhone with GuizmOVPN I can only access my HDA by using the LAN IP of 192.168.1.10 so I can't get access to my Apps. For example, I really want to...

Kernel panic after approx 12 hours of up time.
So I'm having a problem with my server kernel panicking after about 12 hours (or more) up time. As I'm using my server for DHCP this is causing me a few problems as I have to manually reset the server (power off then on) each time it happens so my iPhone etc can obtain an IP. I don't have the skills...

Re: Super Slow SMB
That's not actually possible at the moment. My laptop is waiting for a new power adaptor and my 'Mac' is actually my PC hackintoshed and dual booted with Windows 7. New lappy power adaptor should be here in a day or so, so I can try PC to PC transfer then. On a side note, is there anyway to see the ...

Re: Super Slow SMB
No it's a wired connection using a gigabit NIC on The PC side.
I had a similar issue with freenas that I never could solve.
My transfer speed would fluctuate between 1MB/s to about 12MB/s.
