Re: changing name of drive

Recommend you take a look at changing Greyhole mount points in the wiki.
thanks! I was overthinking this. Solution is like you shared rather simple.

SOLVED: changing name of drive

hello, I'm about to upgrade my Amahi 7 installation to Amahi 11. I'm using Greyhole for my storagepool and want to change the name of the last drive I added (4TB WD drive). This is my current fstab: # # /etc/fstab # Created by anaconda on Wed Aug 7 20:59:41 2013 # # Accessible filesystems, by refere...

Re: SOLVED: Local DNS not working after moving my HDA

just wanted to share this update. I found out that my router/modem from my provider was still putting out IPv6 adresses for the DNS server. I have called them and asked to just turn off IPv6 support for my account and they did. local DNS is working fine now and wireless speeds have gone up a lot for...

Re: Local DNS not working after moving my HDA

FIXED IT!!!!!!!! I checked the settings on my router again and the DHCP server for DHCPv4 was OFF, but I had set the DHCPv6 server setting to "stateless". I thought that was OFF. When I read some more about it, it made more sense to turn it to "stateful". I renewed all my clients and they now only g...

Re: Local DNS not working after moving my HDA

Those look ok to me as well. Only other explanation would be the router handing out DNS. Have you checked the router and clients to ensure there's nothing there causing the issue? what I have found on my laptop (windows 10) is that its getting a v6 DNS server address and Amahi has no v6 address? on...

Re: Local DNS not working after moving my HDA

yes I did. Clients dont configure anything themselves.
router has DHCP v4 and v6 turned OFF and DNS turned OFF

I guess I should turn everything OFF....then reboot the HDA, then start the router and then the clients. ?

Re: Local DNS not working after moving my HDA

Thanks bigfoot65 for keeping this alive. I checked the two files and dont see anything weird. Do you? # WARNING: Automatically generated by hda-ctl on 2019-07-14 12:34:46 # Use /etc/hdactl.conf for defaults and add any customizations at the very end of /etc/dnsmasq.conf # DNS configuration server=8....

Re: Local DNS not working after moving my HDA

well I checked the log files, but cant really find any errors in them.

Where can I check out the DHCP configuration? BEcause it seems to put out DHCP leases with the wrong DNS server.
