Wait... I might've found it! I'll post results when I know if this worked or not.

How to make Gallery3 able to access my shares?
I just installed Gallery3 and have been unable to configure it to access my 'pictures' share on my Amahi HDA. The 'pictures' share is where all my pictures are stored and I can't see any reason to duplicate them in another location just so that Gallery can access them. All I could figure out is how ...

Need a bit of insight into rsync delete options
I'm hoping someone can help me sort out the difference between a few rsync options. I was reading the rsync man pages to learn about the usage of the --delete option and noticed that there are several similar options. For the following options, should I understand this to mean that the sending box h...

Re: Automated virus scanning of shared files.
Thank you for your input and suggestions. More are always welcome. you may want to schedule a find and pipe the output to a file. next time you do a find, do a diff between those 2 files if they are the same, if not, launch AV (unless already running), if the same, don't launch. I understand the con...

Re: Automated virus scanning of shared files.
Ok, I'm working on this and have a good bit of it worked out. I have gotten clamav to run a scheduled scan on selected directories, but I still haven't figured out how to get clamav to scan when new files are added. If I can't get clamav to do this, I think that I may be able to get a different av s...

Automated virus scanning of shared files.
I use an Amahi share to backup my client's user data when doing things like reinstalling a broken OS or cleaning up an infection. I usually boot the PC in question with a Puppy Linux LiveCD and then copy the entire user directory to the Amahi share and sort out the useful bits later. I'd love to con...

EyeOS ruberbanding in calendars
The calendar in EyeOS does not work properly. I can begin to create a calendar event, but cannot complete it. When I click-and-hold on the calendar, it allows me to start by placing an event at the start time I selected by my click location on the calendar. When I attempt to set the end time of the ...

Re: Restore backed-up files after fresh FC12/Amahi5 install
Does anyone have any insight? This is still nagging at me by preventing all users but one to access the files.
I'm really hoping to avoid reinstalling the OS & Amahi just to correct an ownership/permissions issue.

Restore backed-up files after fresh FC12/Amahi5 install
Background: I have a couple hundred Gigs of data that I backed up from /var/hda/files on my FC10/Amahi4 hda before doing a fresh install of FC12/Amahi5. I backed up with the following (as root): cp -a /var/hda /media/my_external_hd/Amahi I have already started to copy the data back in the same way ...

Re: Amahi as network Gateway?
Hi greenstar, What level of service (bandwidth or the name of the standard) do you have with your optical connection? I have 10 Mb up/down. Have you tried any gigabit routers? No, I haven't tried a gigabit router. I probably won't do that until I can upgrade the PCs on my network to gigabit, otherw...
