Re: Using an eSATA drive for Backup
You can also install CrashPlan and backup to other local machines, or even a friend's remote one, for free. This means you could even connect the eSata to other machines you have access to and backup to it!

Re: Unable to boot after adding 2nd HD
Might be a little late now that you're reinstalling, but in response to not being able to access through putty or not getting a response from ping - In Ubuntu when you attempt to boot after installing new drives and having edited /etc/fstab, if you have monitor hooked up directly to the machine and ...

Re: How To: Migrate from Fedora 14 to Ubuntu 12
A wiki containing the same information is now up:
https://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/How_To ... _Ubuntu_12
There is a similar article already on the wiki, I linked to it at the top of the new wiki article.

Re: How To: Migrate from Fedora 14 to Ubuntu 12
Great write up! It should also be useful for anyone planing to upgrade from Amahi 6 to 7 using Fedora on both old and new once Amahi 7 is released. The key is the details of how to transfer your storage pool and "The Holy Trinity" of apps. Yes, I did not really cover this, perhaps a more ...

Re: How To: Migrate from Fedora 14 to Ubuntu 12

In my experience, when Fedora 14 cannot mount the drives in /etc/fstab, rather ...

Re: only two of four sata drives slots are being recognized
I've had the problem a few times since building my Amahi server, and every time it ended up being a bad SATA cable. I know it sounds strange and doesn't happen very often, but it's happened three times to me. The first time was especially peculiar, and I did some extensive testing of the cable on al...
