Re: greyhole and 3tb drives

Well, after having to reinstall linux/amahi on my repurposed HTPC, I reconnected the 3tb drive via a SansDigital raid tower (not using it for raid). During the build of the driver I ended up updating the kernel, and now the balance operation is recognizing the space available. Here's a snippet from ...

Re: greyhole and 3tb drives

I posted to the greyhole forum last night and received the following reply: Guillaume Boudreau (Developer) 10 hours ago Looks like a 32-bit overflow somewhere in Amahi or Greyhole. What's the result of those commands: grep drive15 /etc/greyhole.conf df -k /var/hda/files/drives/drive15 uname -m BTW, ...

Re: greyhole and 3tb drives

Amen, brother. I'm just about done with rebuilding my new file server and will hopefully have everything up and running tomorrow. If that works out, I'll try to bring up a vm running amahi on another box and attach the 3tb to it via usb, partition, and see where the replicated files start dropping. ...

Re: greyhole and 3tb drives

rcrh, Been off the board for a while as I've been building a new PC and repurposing my old one as a new Amahi server (headless no more!). Still working on adding the pooled drives back, but hopefully that will be done Wednesday night Sorry if this is a stupid question, but by partitioning, will grey...

Re: greyhole and 3tb drives

I'm having the same issue. drive15 is the drive in question. Running a stats shows the following: Storage Pool Total - Used = Free + Trash = Possible /var/hda/files/gh: 1814G - 1626G = 186G + 1G = 187G /var/hda/files/drives/drive2/gh: 917G - 732G = 184G + 4G = 189G /var/hda/files/drives/drive4/gh: 1...

Migrate to New Hardware

I'm currently running Amahi on a repurposed Acer EasyStore 340. I'm considering building a new box with more internal storage and supporting SATA rev 3. Is it possible to migrate my existing pooled drives over to a new system intact? Has anyone done this, or found instructions on how?

Re: Greyhole Statistics Math Looks Incorrect

I did, but missed the post. Guess I should have searched on math instead of stats. Thanks for the link.

Greyhole Statistics Math Looks Incorrect

I've been running some balancing and checking status. It looked to me that there was a discrepancy between the amount of free space shown by the greyhole status and the Amahi storage pool info. Checking the greyhole stats, I saw the following: Greyhole Statistics =================== Storage Pool Tot...

Re: Force Files From Landing Zone?

Thanks, that definitely helped, although it is still not offloading as much as I'd like from the landing zone partition, which is also part of the pool. I still want to keep it as part of the pool, though. Is there currently any way to set drive or partition priority so that the specified resources ...
