Re: After KDE install, My server wont BOOT
Ok. Well still not sure. Trying to follow the directions but not sure which direction to go. Dashboard-Shares-Storage Pool shows the drives: Pooled, Location, Total, Used, Not Checked, /, 108.1, 104.1, (This is the OS Drive: 120 GB) with a Red Triangle and Blue Plus Checked, /var/hda/files/drives/dr...

Re: After KDE install, My server wont BOOT
Okay,. well I'm completely lost. I'm trying to follow the examples in the links provided, but I'm not getting it. My Dashboard-Shares-Storage Pool shows, in order from top to bottom: Pooled Location Total Space Free Space Not Checked / (Red Triangle & Plus Sign) 108.1 GB 104.1 GB Checked/var/hda...

Re: After KDE install, My server wont BOOT
I've got a couple of questions still; I have my HDA back up and running with Ubuntu installed. I plugged my 2 1-TB drives in and restarted the PC. Followed the greyhole link provided to remount the drives. This is the message that showes: Ignoring /dev/sda1 - already mounted Ignoring /dev/sda1 - alr...

Re: After KDE install, My server wont BOOT
Um..., how am I supposed to perform the tasks on the link if I can't access my HDA as root? I just figured I would unplug my drives (except for the boot drive), and install Ubuntu 12.04's OS and server setup. Will this will allow me to have a PC/Server in the garage to use to watch internet shows wh...

Re: After KDE install, My server wont BOOT
Yesss. Thank you. I do believe grayhole is managing the space on all the drives. It was set up nearly a year ago or so, but I'm almost 100% positive that I used my dashboard to manage the drives.
Um, why complicated?

Re: After KDE install, My server wont BOOT
Hey, I made a mistake, Im running Fedora 14 not 12. The machine loads clear through to the very end, via the colored bars at the bottom (dark blue, light blue, white), hangs at the end of white. The only thing I can think of that may be causing the issue is a command that was entered to get the HDA ...

After KDE install, My server wont BOOT
Some many months ago I installed the "GUI Install for Express CD" (I'm using Fedora for my HDA) per the wiki's. After install, my HDA hangs at the end of loading and doesn't finish booting. How do I get to "Root" to undo what I've done? The package removal description from the &q...

Re: What The #%&$, I need Seriuos help
That's what I inadvertently had done, changed the router's goodies. It was labeled as my Laptop (didn't understand that at the time), I thought, some where, 2 IP's for Laptop were created some how. I deleted the statics and am in the process of identifying all the devices. Thanks again for the patie...

Re: What The #%&$, I need Seriuos help
I think I screwed things up, again. I started to assign static IP's to the devices I recognized, 2 so far. The list in my dashboard showed 10 before I started. Now it only shows 1. Where did the rest go? I have 2 of the same named devices, both show Brians-Laptop, but one is my router. Whats up with...

Re: What The #%&$, I need Seriuos help
I appreciate the encouragement and the support that I've been given from the Linux community. I'll be the first to admit that my lack of terminology in understanding the most fundamental of concepts IS an issue. So then, for a question (humph, what to ask, where to start). I guess I'll start with my...
