Me too..... 7 Mac's 2 Windows, and a Amahi server. Native AFP would be the reason to keep this. I can get an HP Home Server that does this, but not an open source
Also a iTunes Server that works with Macs......

OSX being unix-like has the /users/username where all your files are, well asterisks on all. Have you thought of going through the remote time-machine hack? I am NOT an expert! Here is what I would say; To turn on Greyhole 1) Go to your Amahi Dash Board, then Settings and Settings, and make sure Advance Settings is checked 2) Then servers, Greyhole, and make sure it is running. Right place for the share. This is more complex as you have data, so others ...
