Re: Greyhole not connecting to Samba (smdb_vfs_init)
Thanks Bigfoot! unfortunately, downgrading doesn't help. Transaction Check Error: package hda-greyhole-0.9.21-1.x86_64 is already installed I have three different versions of hda-greyhole installed, and I can't remove them via rpm -e because I get an error of: error: %preun(hda-greyhole-0.9.20-1.x86...

Greyhole not connecting to Samba (smdb_vfs_init)
[17:49] <sparkus> hello, I'm having a smbd_vfs_init issue on amahi with greyhole, rpm reinstall doesn't help. [18:02] <sparkus> it looks like I have multiple versions of greyhole installed, which may be the issue. rpm -qa | grep greyhole give me three different versions 9.20-1 through 9.22-1 [18:03]...

Re: Roku Server
okay,
1. I'm using http://roksbox.home.com as the address.
2. It will also only list movies that are in .m4v or similar formats...just making sure your movies are in the right formats.
3. Did you make sure to switch the roksbox setup from xml mode to directory mode?
Let me know if this works!

Re: Roku Server
Curious. Okay...can you get to each media file from the web browser? If you select them will they play? If so, the issue may be the address that you're pointing the roku to. I'll check mine when I get home and let you know what mine is sent to. Sorry for the delay in responding, I've added a subscri...

Re: Paid Apps, Further Growth, Further Discussion
Thank you for the prompt response to my questions.
I really like amahi, and I'd like to remain an advocate for it in the long run.
I very much hope that the changes you are making will keep the community going for the long term.

Re: Paid Apps, Further Growth, Further Discussion
I would encourage you to answer some of these questions above, as I think people are being misled by the uncertainty. Just last night I was installing amahi for a neighbor, and we wanted to add squeezebox. This led us to the app store, with a price of 2.99 (unfortunately still in beta). His question...

Re: Roku Server
Does anyone have a quick howto for packaging this as an app? I know that the roksbox server is the hardest thing to make work, and this definitely has the potential to open up amahi to a new class of users. I realized when setting this up, that the way I was going about it...linking each movie file...

Roku Server Success
I didn't see any sort of reply, so I thought I'd complete this. This works with amahi, as my amahi is now streaming HD video to my roku using with the roksbox application. The short instructions (if there's enough interest, I can definitely document further) Go to HDA setup, webapps, New Web App But...
