VPN should work, but it doesn't

Howdy gang I posted my issues in the newbie forum: http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2523&start=10 and we haven't been able to get my VPN to work. Maybe someone here can offer something new. I have confirmed that my service provider does not block ports and that I have the correct...

LogAnalyzer Fedora14

Hey gang

Just installed LogAnalyzer 3.0.6 beta and I can't get it to work.

I point my browser to : http://loganalyzer.home.com/ via the HDA control and it can't find anything.

How do I trouble shoot this?

Re: VPN questions

I have CenturyLink, used to be Embarq. I'll drop them a line and let you know what they say.

Also bought a new Linksys/Cisco E2000 today. Set it up to forward 1194 UDP to my HDA machine. Still no go.

Re: VPN questions

Did you make sure that you're forwarding UDP and not TCP? That's the thing. I'm not sure. My router interface doesn't have an option between TCP and UDP. It only wants port numbers. I was planning on upgrading to a more modern router. I guess this is a good time? Does your HDA show up as being inst...

Re: VPN questions

I don't think you have to forward any ports if Your HDA is in DMZ. Take your HDA out of DMZ and portforward, your Hda ip address will most likely return to the same subnet as your other devices on the network/ I've had it with and without DMZ, no go either way. I am running an anciently old netgear...

Re: VPN questions

Thanks for the reply.

That correctly changed things on my end, but not the amahi.org page. Does it take time to refresh?

VPN questions

Howdy gang I finally got my HDA up and running. Pretty proud of myself. I'm a complete linux noob. Everything on my side of my router seems to be working like it's supposed to. The issue I have is the VPN. I have opened the required ports on the router. I even have the HDA set as the DMZ. But I cann...
