Hi,

I'd like to prepare Amahi server in my LAN (with existing dhcp and "main router" app - LMCE) environment and then change IP settings and move Amahi to my friend's LAN (different IPs).

Can I do that ? Any other advice ?

Amahi is not intended to be on a network with an existing DHCP and DNS server. There are some things which will not work. See http://www.amahi.org/faq#is-dhcp-server-required for more info. I have music in /home/username/Music. Can read/write there from samba network share. But cannot convince Squeezebox to scan and have library in that directory... It won't show subdirectory username in /home directory so I cannot select it...
