Thanks Bigfoot65, I will try installing Fedora to see if I have the same issues I am having with Ubuntu. Might be a tough decision whether to hold out until January or start the build earlier with the older version

Thanks for the replies. I have removed a Serial ATA 4 port PCI Card (which I would like to use in the future) which was the only non standard part in the computer. Thanks Bigfoot65, I had not thought about drivers (not normally something to worry about in a windows environment these days), but the randomness of the freezes has not made me think it is one particular component. Thanks for the relpies On the typical system, the data being dumped to the server has to sit in the shared folder for a while before Greyhole begins to deal with it. For that reason, if you have a lot of data to dump at first, you'll need a large system drive. The last install I did was for my buddy...
