Re: amahi-dlna dead but pid file exists
Just to report: I deleted the two problem files listed in /tmp/minidlna/minidlna.log a few days ago. No problems with DLNA service since.

Re: amahi-dlna dead but pid file exists
Thanks for the /var/log/messages direction. Here is the relevant bit from that log, which (I now note) occurs exactly the same way each time amahi-dlna goes down: Jul 3 19:34:34 Seaglass kernel: [1304241.414594] amahi-dlna[2832]: segfault at 0 ip 000000315792aa5c sp 00007ffff32e9e58 error 4 in libc-...

amahi-dlna dead but pid file exists
Spot of bother. Amahi DLNA installed and running most of the time, but service stops every couple of days for reasons unknown and can only be restarted from the command line (not the HDA dashboard). The minidlna.log does not show anything that might explain it. I have not tried rebooting. I've read ...

No Amahi installer after Fedora 14 full DVD install
I installed Fedora 14 from a full DVD, following the instructions on the wiki at http://www.amahi.org/support/instructions to the letter. I added the http://f14.amahi.org Amahi repo where instructed, though it took 3 attempts. Once the install was complete, I booted into Fedora and no Amahi installe...

Re: Greyhole Storage Pool shutdown problem
I have the same problem, with mount_shares_locally in play: a hang at shutdown. If I manually stop the service to unmount the local shares first, shutdown and restart act normally. The comments above seem imply that the stop should occur at shutdown without manual intervention? Or am I reading it wr...

permission denied when mounting shares locally - SOLVED
I'm having trouble using the mount_shares_locally script, as I get an error (13) Permission Denied on each share. I've double-checked that my credentials in .smb_credentials are correct, that my username is correct in /etc/init.d/mount_shares_locally, and I even eventually added a --verbose option t...

docx files gone from share when edited from Windows PC
I'm new to Amahi and Linux, having switched over from WHS1. You know how it is. I'm using Greyhole with 3 2TB drives, formatted with the ext3 filesystem. All shares are accessible from Windows PCs. So far so good. Recently on a Windows 7 PC I opened a docx file from a share in Word 2010 and worked o...
