Re: Transfer Speed
I know this is an old post, but I have not been around for awhile, but I wanted to share some new network speeds I am getting. Right now I am getting 130MB/sec now. I am not using amahi at the moment, but I thought I would update this thread as someone may be curious to what I did. To reach these sp...

Re: File Transfer at ~2MB/s
Yes that's correct, minimal. Amahi does not promise Gigabit speeds though. That is, (mainly) a hardware requirement. So amahi will still work not a problem. But I think to get the full gigabit speeds you will need better hardware. That's my guess. Try it and find out. That way, you will know for sure.

Hello aslange
What is the CPU you have in your server?
Also are you using the onboard NIC? I would suggest to buy a gigbit NIC and use that.

SQL is not needed for minidlna.
In F14 i never had the issue. Once going to ubuntu the problem started. Im not sure if its a minidlna issue or an ubuntu issue

Re: miniDLNA not showing Movies folder
Unfortunately that is only a temp fix. The problem will happen again.
I switched to mediatomb and that is working better.

Re: HDA does not wake up from "suspend to disk" after new NI
Ah, then that's the max you will get.
WIth a faster CPU and a PCIe Gigabit card you can get faster speeds.
I am currently getting around 80-90 MB/s.

Your NIC card? Is it a PCI or a PCI-e card?

Re: Sab and/or Sickbeard auto-processing issue
Its a permissions issue. A bug in Amahi. I could not get it fixed either. I had to run a cron job to do it for me automatically through out the day. I ended up installing ubuntu server with out Amahi and then installed sickbeard, and now its working flawlessly. You will have to change the owner to y...
