Re: Suddenly loss of connection when sharing files
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27700334/network_error.png Screenshot of the error I get in Windows 7. It is happening mid-file now as well. If the file transfer is unsuccessful, it doesn't show up as a partial file in the HDA window. I watched /var/log/messages and the following was written to the log whe...

Re: NUT or apcupsd?
I use apcupsd and it is simple to install. As root user, do: yum install apcupsd service apcupsd start ( if it did not start on install) Then I checked the config via the desktop. It will appear in the task bar on the login screen and also once logged in. If you are running headless, it might need ...

NUT or apcupsd?
Wondering what the general preference is for managing UPS devices on Amahi - NUT or apcupsd? I was googling around and found apcupsd, but noticed in the wiki that an install for NUT is explained for Amahi. The wiki article also mentioned apcupsd, but doesn't provide any instructions. What are people...

fsck after power outage / shutdown?
Hi Folks, I have had a couple power outages recently and was forced to run fsck on my Amahi box in order to get it back up and running. I finally had enough of this and purchased a UPS this evening. I powered down my server, installed the UPS, and powered back up presented with another disk check fa...

Re: Server update
Is it safe to run yum -y update on an Amahi box? I thought I read somewhere that you don't want to run the update command as it could break Amahi.

Re: Suddenly loss of connection when sharing files
I'm having a similar issue when transferring a large batch of files. One or two of the files will transfer across and then I get an error (Win7 and OS X) that says the server cannot be accessed. In W7 when I click "try again" it will continually fail, but if I cancel and start another batc...

Re: Moving files which were placed directly on HD to GH shar
Autumnwalker - so you moved all the files CrashPlan had created onto the Greyhole share, but did you also have to configure CrashPlan in any way to save new files to the Greyhole share? Did you go with the "mount shares locally" approach? I mounted the shares locally and pointed CrashPlan...

Thank you very much for your help!

Re: Moving files which were placed directly on HD to GH shar
That depends, do you see the files correctly symlinked in the landing zone? Good question; how can I tell? (/noob) I have not moved the default landing zone; however, I told the share to be on /var/hda/files/drives/drive1/backup when I originally set it up, so that would be the LZ for that share, c...
