Hi,
maybe you have solved your problem.
But just for the records: I solved this by first adding the 2 empty disks to the pool, moved all content from the filled disk to the pool and if this was done, add the (formerly filled disks) to the pool.

Re: no LZ, just drives
Hi
Juergen
you mean, the path is hard coded in the app?If you removed it, there is a chance you could break Amahi. Some apps write shares specifically to /var/hda/files.

Re: Dashboard partition size not matching disk sizes
Hi, strange. Showing a disk at the dashbord but not on the OS-Level couldn't be (ok, we're talking about hardware so everything is possible). Does it shows up if you run blkid as root (su blkid) from the shell? Have you manually edit yout fstab? Be sure not to mount both drives (the 2 TB ones) on th...

Re: Several newbie questions before moving to Amahi
Hi Benoit, puh, lot of questions. I will try to answer some of them. What happens if the HDA computer crashes ? Will all my computer loose internet connection ? No, not directly loose it, but it will be useless. The connection is still there. You will be unable to access pages since your computer ca...

Re: Amahi versus plain Fadora - General Question
Hi, the Kraut is back again ;-) Don't forget to drink some beer too ;)) Ok, let's start. Amahi is a kind of "you don't have to care about the details"-Solution. By using the solution you will not learn that much. If you just drive a car, you will not learn how to repair it. For an explanat...

Re: Amahi versus plain Fadora - General Question
Hi Abacus, it really depends what you want to do with your box. Amahi is a good solution if you are not willing to spend more time with configuration of your system. Just install it in a couple of minutes and than run it. I think most of the people her run Amahi because of greyhole (known as drive e...

Re: How do I get to the GUI Desktop after install?
Hi Abacus, thanks for calling me a "hero" ;-) I'm not. I didn't save the world nor did something similar. I just want to try to help some people to get things done. Ok, forget about Fedora 15. It's not supported right now. AMAHI will support Fedora 16 in a later point in time, but currentl...

Re: How do I get to the GUI Desktop after install?
Hi, i guess something went wrong during your installation or you deselect the graphich desktop. In normal cases (trust me: I installed AMAHI 10 times or more) a Desktop should come up. Did you provide a user and a password during intallation? You could also try to access your HDA from a remote compu...

Re: First Time Setup
Hi Peter, what do you need the server for? Just for setting up Samba as an share for some stuff? Sorry for saying this in this forum, but think about setting up a "normal" Linux box, install greyhole by hand and you're done. No struggle with DNS and DHCP and YOU are the one who controls th...
