Re: SSD longevity
In this case it's the position of the OS drive in my HP Gen8. It may get too hot. I have a spare 2.5in HDD that I don't mind sacrificing so I'll use that instead of the SSD and monitor HDD temps.

Re: SSD longevity
Are there any recommendations for settings for using Ssd on amahi? A brief Google shows there is split opinion as to whether journaling on ext4 is fine or destroys SSD. I suspect the greyhole log probably didn't help.

Those of you who are using SSDs as their OS drives, how are your drives doing? I have a Sandisk SSD Plus (had 3 year warranty) that has completely expired after 3.5 years. It's dead, PCs won't even enter BIOS with it plugged in. I'm reluctant to replace it with another SSD if it has been killed by t...

Re: Upgrade or Install to Amahi 11 w/ greyhole
Wish I'd seen this before the upgrade. Mine at the weekend OK, I reinstalled greyhole ui, re added the drives to the pool. I put a file on a shared folder and watched the greyhole log. Nothing. So I restarted the greyhole service and saw some errors about uuid not being recognised. I cleared the que...

Re: Sickrage app
Great, thank you! For others who might know how to fix it "the dirty way" take a look at https://github.com/SickChill/SickChill/wiki/SickChill-installation-packages , and please post any success stories, else I fear this is the end for the sickrage app. If you check out the site and reddit...

Re: Upgrade or clean install
Hopefully the OP is satisfied with madhatta's success story. My upgrade from 9-10 was uneventful thankfully.
Follow the wiki to the letter. Make sure apps are all removed and if you're like me and a clumsy typer use ssh to copy and paste commands.

Re: Sickrage app
Thanks, I'll take a look at Sonarr. I never got round to using usenet, I purely used sickrage to move and rename files, I presume Sonarr has the same functionality to allow you to download files yourself.

Re: Upgrade or clean install
I believe it is something BigFoot added in 2015 going from previous posts as a way to recover your settings if you need to. You can safely remove the files.

Sickrage app
I know I'm not the only one who's found their sickrage app has imploded and become unusable in the last week and I was hoping a solution may have been posted on the amahi forums. The issue appears to be in the form of recent commits that stop the app from functioning correctly. With my database load...

Re: Upgrade or clean install
I know Wyzard started this thread, but I gave the procedure a go. It all started with SiCKRAGE decided to meltdown, looks like the current branch is borked for a lot of people; nearly opened a bug here when I found users on freenas and qsnap reporting same issues. That's when I noticed the addition ...
