Amahi Dev Package; Amahi as a (web) developers helping hand
We talked a bit about this on irc last week, and I wanted to catch the full audience, so here goes: Background: As an aspiring freelance web developer, I read about all kinds of good development setups, but haven't got the time nor know-how to set it all up. Everything from the basic IDE all the way...

Re: I can browse the HOME folder, but cant browse other shar
Seems this is becoming a common issue. Just want to mention that so far the Greyhole developer hasn't received what he needs to debug this. He asked for the console output when updating Greyhole (the output from running the RPM script and YUM, so not whats in yum.log) So next time you're going to up...

Re: Planning home audio, help select HW
Thanks bt107. I had my eye on a Squeezebox too, but in our living room we needed something that can play DAB+ and FM radio as well, so we have now got a Pinell Supersound with an iPod dock via its minijack input. The unit is able to fill our rather large living room with sound, impressive sound qual...

Re: Deleted files on shares going to ".Trash-1000"?
I've been seeing .Trash-500 folders from time to time so I decided to do some testing, using: hda-greyhole-0.9.16-1.i386. Learning Linux as I go, so I need the visual help of X/Gnome. I login either via VNC or operate directly on the box, and often need to access the shares while on the HDA, so I've...

Re: Ready to give up Greyhole and Amahi, will test more
For those of you who are willing to use the latest Greyhole version despite it not being Amahi approved/tested: The wiki page for Greyhole updating now contains instructions for updating or even adding Greyhole as an update repo for yum so GH will be updated when you run "yum update". Does...

Planning home audio, help select HW
We're on the brink of buying a lot of new audio hardware around the house. We need a new radio in the dining room, an alarm clock in the bedroom, speakers/stereo for the tv etc. Of course I would like them all to be able to stream music over wifi from Amahi. My main questions: 1. Which is the prefer...

Wow, this project sounds great. Have you made any progress regarding packaging it as an Amahi app?
