Re: System restarting and shutting down

Well i managed to get it started for a few minutes, enough at least to write down my shares. When i first installed Amahi i had some issues with greyhole so i disabled it and set up myself where my shares will be. For examble my "Music" is in var/myserver/files/drives/drive1/Music and all ...

Re: System restarting and shutting down

There are quite a lot of log files so i'm not sure what to check.
Anyway my system now just restarts and doesn't load at all. Is there any way i can get it started even without gui and check my shares settings from my pc using remote desktop (tight VNC) or through the amahi dashboard?
Thanks again

Is there a log i can check to see what happens? Since Amahi devs will be working on F17 some time soon i would prefer not to reinstal...

Re: Amahi auto shutdown

Thank you for your answer. I haven't installed any Energy Saver application so that couldn't be it. I'll check the bios too but i haven't messed with it for over a year now that i installed amahi. As far as heat goes the case is open all aroung and in front of the six drives there are two 12cm fans ...

Re: Remove disk from storage pool

when i use the "greyhole --going /var/hda/files/drives/drive3/gh" to empty the drive it gives back the following: PHP Warning: date_default_timezone_get(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_time...

Re: When everything goes wrong....

Thank you very much!!! It sounds quite easy as well as safe. I'd like to ask also if you can tell me the best way to organize a 1Tb boot disk. It will be used only as a boot disk I have no intention of partitioning it and adding anything to the pool. Just the userfiles will be on it and i suppose GH...

Re: When everything goes wrong....

Day 2 Greyhole seems to be active again. The hard drive still seems not to be recognised but I have access to all the files on it. (the user files basically that are stored on the first hard drive look ok) Found a post on the greyhole section about re-recognizing everything after a new install but i...

Re: Files only visible to the admin user - can you help, ple

I found in another post in the forum that setting correct permissions will solve the problem...
Running the following command as root for all drives sould do the trick.

chmod 0775 /var/hda/files/drives/drive1
