Re: Fedora 25 and Meltdown / Spectre
I remembered I have an AMD board after I wrote the question so I'm probably not affected anyway.

CLOSED: Fedora 25 and Meltdown / Spectre
I see that the Fedora 26 and 27 kernels have been updated for Meltdown and fixes for Spectre are in work. Will the Fedora 25 kernel be updated for these threats?

CrashPlan for Home going away
If you're looking for an online backup solution for your HDA because CrashPlan for Home will no longer be supported, I looked into alternatives and chose IDrive. The price was reasonable and IDrive can back up from and restore to multiple operating systems, including Linux, so I can back up all of o...

I submitted issue https://bugs.amahi.org/issues/1877. The fpaste option should be "--sysinfo" (no dash).

Re: What's using up my disk space?
Had the same issue and contacted Code42. Here's the answer: With CrashPlan 4.4, Oracle's JRE 1.7 is now a requirement for running CrashPlan. This new JRE is not included in CrashPlan upgrades on Linux machines, but is downloaded optionally with our new installer. We recommend uninstalling and reinst...

Re: Roku Server
Not working for me either. I can see the folders in Firefox from another computer but the Roku displays "Parsing directory structure" then "Working" then kicks out to the main rokxbox page. Maybe roksbox doesn't work on a Roku 2 XS? EDIT: I could not get Roksbox or Chaneru to wor...

phpSANE
After upgrading to Amahi 6/F14, I tried to set up ServerScanner but ran into problems. I looked around and found phpSANE. It worked with a few tweaks. The default options are for an HP scanner but it was pretty easy to figure out what to change to make it work with my Brother machine. If anyone were...

Re: Linux Scanner Server
I know you've probably tried this but did you "configure" the scanner on the Scanner Server page? Mine didn't work until a settings.conf file was created. My only other thought is to make sure the directory permissions allow access to a normal user. I couldn't find the link to the script s...

Re: Linux Scanner Server
I got this working through some trial and error. As root, I made apache the owner of all the scanner directories/files. cd /var/hda/web-apps chown -R apache:apache scanner I also had to make a change to fstab to get "scanimage" to work for a normal user. I added this line to /etc/fstab: no...
